Introduction:
Our group choose the fabulous five events. Events refers are gatherings of people such as Ceremony,convention, event management, festival, happening, media event, party and sporting event. Ceremony is an event of ritual significance, performed on a special occasion. Then, convention (meeting), a gathering of individuals engaged in some common interest of the event. Then,  Event management, the organization of events the application of project management to the creation and development of large-scale events. Festival, an event that celebrates some unique aspect of a community and community together create good moment with event. Happening, a type of artistic performance with artist, and some performance with cultural and heritage. Media event, an event created for publicity and make everyone enjoy the event. Party, a social, recreational or corporate events held mainly for entertainment purposes. Sporting event, at which athletic competition takes place such as dance competition, sing competition and other competition. The events that we have choose are as below:

1.BCF (Borneo Cultural Festival

Borneo Cultural Festival or simplified as BCF is the annual festival of food and music which is held in Sibu, Sarawak on every July–August every year since 2003. The festival is organised by the Sibu Municipal Council. The main scope of BCF is to gather the community of Sarawak mainly in Sibu which is generally came from different ethnic and background, serving the society with a multicultural dance, music and traditional food. It's one of the biggest traditional and yet prestiged festival event in Sibu, Sarawak. The Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF) is a week-long celebration of food, music and dances celebrating the diverse cultural background of Sibu community such as Iban/Bidayuh/Orang Ulu, Malay/Melanau and Chinese.  Richness of culture heritage in our motherland comprising multiracial beliefs and habits is texturing the uniqueness of Sarawak.  This main objective of this event is to promote “beauty in ethnic diversity” within Borneo Island to the world. BCF stands as Sibu biggest tourism event.  This is a perfect time to mingle with the locals from all walks of life. Fringe events include trade shows, fun fair and stage shows.Borneo Cultural Festival is an annual event organized by Sibu Municipal Council.  It is free for the public. The Sibu Town Square (venue) is within walking distance of major hotels in the town centre. It is a celebration of traditional music, dances, contests, beauty pageant, food stalls, fun fairs, and product exhibitions. There are 3 separate stages for Iban, Chinese, and Malay performances. It draws around 20,000 people every year.BCF was stopped briefly in 2011 before it was resumed in 2012. Sibu has hosted the National Chinese Cultural Festival  twice: in 2001 (18th Festival) and 2009 (26th Festival) which lasted for 3 days. Among the activities organized during this festival were cultural village (a venue designated to showcase cultural heritages from various ethnicity), lantern riddles, cultural dances, Chinese songs, dragon dances, and Chinese calligraphy.

2.RAINFOREST WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL (RWMF)
One of the music festival celebrating the diversity of world music. The festival features a wide range of performances from traditional music, to world fusion and contemporary world music. The festival emphasizes the use of traditional acoustic world instruments, although electric accompaniment instruments are common. The RWMF is one of South East Asia’s leading festival experiences. Over a decade and a half the Festival has developed an audience that is as eclectic and international as its musical line up. A huge number of creative music artists from across the globe comes together in ONE place for 3 days every year and thousands of locals and foreigners descend on Santubong Sarawak, jamming the airport and packing the streets.
The venue of this festival is in Sarawak Cultural Village, Kuching Sarawak. This year, the venue was expanded to include Damai Central.
This year, about 30% come from outside Sarawak, including places such as Europe, China, Singapore and peninsular Malaysia. Now in its 21st year, the festival will feature performances from 37 local and international bands, including performers from Serbia for the first time. There will also be performers from countries such as Spain, India, France, Mali, the US, Chile, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Guinea, Russia, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Poland, Solomon Islands and Tunisia.
This year, the RWMF on 21st Rainforest World Music Festival will be held on 13 until 15 July 2018.

There are many activities will be provide such as the most interesting workshops going on and once the sun sets, the stage goes alive with the mix of of tribal, traditional bands with elements of funk, hip hop and pretty much any other beat based music you could care to mention.
The workshops usually during the day around 2pn to about 5pm.





 The performance usually starts at 7.30pm.





3.SIBU BASE JUMP

BASE jump also sometimes written as B.A.S.E. jumping, is parachuting or wing suit flying from a fixed structure or cliff. "BASE" is an acronym that stands for four categories of fixed objects from which one can jump: building, antenna, span, and earth (cliff). Due to the lower altitudes of the jumps, BASE jumping is significantly more dangerous than skydiving from a plane.
Apart from that, Malaysia also have this event and it located at Sibu ,Sarawak. Sibu is an inland town at the central region of Sarawak and the capital of Sibu District in Sibu Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. The town is located on the island of Borneo and covers an area of 129.5 square kilometres (50.0 sq mi). It is located at the confluence of the Rajang and Igan Rivers, some 60 kilometres from the South China Sea and approximately 191.5 kilometres (119 mi) north-east of the state capital Kuching.
Sibu BASE Jump is an annual event held in September that is from 20 to 23 September, 2018. Organised since 2009 and has become a yearly event. This event is organised by Sibu Tourism Task Force Group with technical support by BASE Jumper from Australia and Malaysia. Sibu Base Jump is planned to be carried out just a week before KL Tower Jump.
BASE jumpers from arround the world have found Sibu BASE Jump to be a unique and enjoyable event with a very welcoming atmosphere.  BASE jumpers launch from the top of Wisma Sanyan and land in Sibu Town Square.  Standing 126 meters high, Wisma Sanyan is the tallest building in Sarawak.   
Opened in 2001, the building serves many purposes, amongst them shopping mall, restaurant, hotel and offices. It is the headquarters of Sanyan Group, which is one of Sarawak's largest timber companies. It houses Parkson, Giant Supermarket closed down since Nov 6 2017, which opened its doors in 2003.
Wisma Sanyan's title as Borneo's tallest building was taken by the 132.31-meter Sabah State Administrative Centre in Kota Kinabalu.

DARE DEVIL FEAT: Four BASE jumpers are seen in the air after jumping from Wisma Sanyan. The annual Sibu International BASE Jump atracts 84 jumpers from 17 countries. The 126-metre tall Wisma Sanyan is the tallest building in Sarawak. The jumpers leap from the building to an open space below at Sibu Town Square (phases 1). The jump runs from Sept 22 to 24(2017)

4.BORNEO MUSIC JAZZ


Borneo Jazz is one of the longest running Jazz festivals in the region. This will be the 13th year. There will be performances from both regional and international reconized  jazz musicians. At this event, the local schools brass bands will feature as a prelude to the opening act as part of their exposure on the international stage. Apart from that, the Festival expands its musical outreach program,, where aspiring musicians can learn the basics of Jazz musical instruments from professional musicians, by introducing additional classes for new comer. The Festival includes night performances with sitting and dancing areas and a wide lawn for night picnics surrounded by arts, crafts and food stalls. The festival is held in Miri, Sarawak’s Resort City. Miri is located near to the Sultanate of Brunei and Malaysian state of Sabah, which has a significant number of expatriate communities. Miri is rapidly becoming one of Sarawak’s popular tourist destinations. With its lively nightlife, it is where weekend visitors from neighboring Brunei escape to. As a resort city, Miri offers a wide range of accommodation from international class hotels to budget inns, good beaches and dozens of lively restaurants, pubs and bars.Visitors going to this cosmopolitan city of Miri can visit the Lambir Hills or the historical Niah National Park located just an hour or two away respectively.And if you are a scuba diver, the dive sites in the Miri-Sibuti Coral Reefs National Park beckons. The nearest dive site is a mere 15-min away, just off the coast of the city.


VENUE
The 13th Borneo Jazz find its new “home” at Coco Cabana, Marina Bay, Miri.  It will be held on May 11 to 13, 2018. Borneo Jazz is an annual international jazz festival that takes place in the seaside city of Miri, featuring a vast repertoire of Jazz genres.
The event also holds youth programmes and outreach programmes to help local aspiring musicians.



TICKET
The 13th Borneo Jazz Festival, held from 11-13 May 2018, welcomes fans to Miri for a musical extravaganza! Hosted at Coco Cabana, Marina Bay, Miri, the Festival brings together renowned international artistes from Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and Japan, with acclaimed Asian performers Gaoyang Li, Jeremy Monteiro, Michael Veerapen and Datuk Zainal Abidin as well as workshops, jam sessions, panel discussions and more.
The Festival is organised by No Black Tie Presents in conjunction with Sarawak Tourism Board. One of Malaysia’s longest-running jazz festivals, it brings a surge of life and festivity to the city. One of the most anticipated highlights is the specially formed Borneo Jazz Festival Band featuring 3 SAXES namely Tony Lakatos (Germany), Gaoyang Li (China) and Julian Chan together with Michael Veerapen (Malaysia) who will perform with veteran singer Datuk Zainal Abidin and Dasha Logan, daughter of late Alleycats’ vocalist Loganathan Arumugam.

5.SIBU BIG BIKE WEEK


ORGANIZER : RAZZ CHOPPER MOTOR CLUB
VENUE : SIBU TOWN SQUARE, SARAWAK MALAYSIA                     
Sibu Big Bike Week is more than just riding around town in big classy bikes as it has the potential to attract bikers from overseas. This annual program is organized by Razz Chopper Motor Club. It is also a gathering of big bike owners as well as members of the community who have keen interest in high powered motorbikes, cars and all things automotive.



  
The Sibu Bike Week has already attracted more than 200 bike clubs and 2,000 bikers from across the globe. Among them were bikers from Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Kalimantan in the Borneo island, Peninsular Malaysia, Germany, Spain, the Philippines, Holland, Australia, Abu Dhabi, Indonesia and Thailand. The event will kick off with a bike and car exhibitions, tattoo shows, as well as the Miss Sibu Bike Week competition and the Ride Sibu Town event. There will also be band, scooter, skateboard and BMX competitions, as well as car drifting shows and slow ride competitions, throughout the course of the event, ending in true Sarawakian fashion with a fireworks show and a karaoke competition. This event would be a gathering of enthusiasts who were into high powered motorbike as well as cars and automotive-related things, skateboards, BMX bicycles and also paintball. In 2018, Sibu big bike week will be on December 7, 2018 - December 9, 2018 at Sibu Town Square, Sarawak Malaysia. For more information, please follow us on Facebook and joins us.
