Introduction : Our group choose the fabulous five romantic movie. The romantic movies are love stories recorded in visual media for broadcast in cinema and on television that focus on passion, emotion, and the affectionate romantic involvement of the main characters and the journey that their genuinely strong, true and pure romantic love takes them through dating, courtship or marriage. Romance movies make the romantic love story or the search for strong and pure love and romance the main plot focus. Occasionally, romance lovers face obstacles such as finances, physical illness, various forms of discrimination, psychological restraints or family that threaten to break their union of love. As in all quite strong, deep, and close romantic relationships, tensions of day-to-day life, temptations, and differences in compatibility enter into the plots of romantic films. The movie that we have choose are as below :

1. First Ranking of Romantic Movie is Titanic

Synopsis :

Beginning with treasure hunter Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton) searching the Titanic wreck for the fabled necklace named the Heart of the Ocean, the Titanic movie features actual footage of the wreckage. After recovering a safe that was thought to belong to first class passenger Caledon ‘Cal’ Hockley, played by Billy Zane, Lovett hopes to find the Heart of the Ocean contained within. He finds nothing but soggy bank statements and a sketch of a naked woman wearing the necklace, and Lovett believes that he has hit a dead end.

A woman by the name of Rose Calvert (Gloria Stuart) sees Lovett on the news and contacts him. Lovett is uninterested in what she has to say at first, but becomes intrigued when she tells him that she is the woman in the drawing. After being flown in to tell her story, we learn that Rose Calvert was once Rose DeWitt Bukater and was a first class passenger on the Titanic. She beings telling her experience on the doomed vessel.

The movie begins with drifter Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) winning third class tickets for the Titanic in a poker game. Him and his friend Fabrizio catch the ship just as it is leaving. It also shows first class passenger Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslett), her mother Ruth (Frances Fisher) and her fiance Cal Hockley. Rose is on the way to Philadelphia to marry Hockley, an arrangement made by her mother to protect her status of wealth. Unhappy with this decision, Rose attempts to commit suicide by throwing herself from the Titanic.

She is confronted by Dawson who convinces her to come up from the railing. Rose invites Jack to dinner as a thanks, and after Jack spirits her away to a third class evening of dancing. Rose decides to decide her own future and asks Jack, who is an acclaimed artist to draw her nude wearing only the Heart of the Ocean.

The two then find their way to the cargo hold and find a rich man’s car waiting for them. They proceed to make love in the back seat before the ship hits an iceberg. As people begin boarding lifeboats, Jack is arrested and locked in the master at arms’ office. Instead of boarding a lifeboat, Rose goes back to help Jack and the two must fight for survival. Jack and Rose’s fiancé Cal finally convince her to board a lifeboat, and Cal assures her that he has made arrangements to get both men off of the boat safely.

Cal double cross Jack and Rose decides to go back for him yet again despite her being urged to stay on the lifeboat. Rose finds Jack and Cal chases them into the flooded first-class dining room with a pistol. Once they escape Cal, he returns to the deck and boards a lifeboat after pretending to look after an abandoned child.

Rose and Jack go down with the ship and Jack helps her onto a door that can support the weight of one person. While Jack is in the freezing water, they exchange loving words, and Jack dies of hypothermia. Once aboard the Carpathia, Rose gives her name as Rose Dawson. She sees Cal one more time frantically looking for her but hides her face in a blanket just as he looks in her direction. Rose then proceeds to do everything that her and Jack promised to do together, and lives her life.

Back on Lovett’s ship, Rose walks to the side, produces the Heart of the Ocean and tosses it overboard. In the last scene, Rose is met by Jack on the grand staircase of the Titanic, they kiss and are applauded by those who were lost in the disaster. It isn’t known whether or not she is dreaming or if she dies (Jack told her she would die in her bed as an old woman), and James Cameron leaves this up to the viewer to decide.

     Synopsis :

    “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

In a vast castle of grandeur set in the heart of France, a handsome young prince is holding a ball to which the loveliest of women in all of the land were invited. They are all dancing away in the hope of winning the Prince's love and admiration as Madame de Garderobe sings. The party is interrupted when an old hag arrives at the castle in the hope of seeking shelter from the raging thunderstorm. All that she had to offer the Prince was a rose. However, the Prince is disgusted by her appearance and is infuriated due to the sudden disruption of the ball. He mocks her and declines the rose.

The hag then transforms herself into a beautiful Enchantress, astonishing the Prince and scaring away all of his guests. The Prince begs for forgiveness, but the Enchantress has already seen that there is no love in his heart and hence transforms him into a hideous Beast. She also transforms his servants into household objects, and she removes the villagers' memories of the Prince and the castle. She reveals the rose to be an enchanted rose, and says that if the Prince hasn't learned to love another and gain love in return by the time the last petal falls from it, he would be a Beast forever, and the servants would change permanently into non-living antiques.

Several years later, in the village of Villeneuve, a young bookworm and inventor named Belle is extremely bored of her village life and seeks excitement and adventure, contrary to the villagers who are very simple-minded and are quite happy where they are. They regard Belle as a very odd and "funny" girl. Belle lives with her father Maurice, a tinkerer and a music box maker. One day, Maurice and his horse, Philippe, leave for the market and asks Belle if she wants a gift when he returns home. Belle asks for a rose and for his safe return. Eventually, Gaston, who is considered as a hero by all in the village on account of his success in the battlefield proposes marriage to Belle. But Belle turns him down knowing that he is extremely arrogant and self-absorbed.

Meanwhile Maurice and Philippe get lost in the forest while travelling to the market. While lost in the forest, they enter a part of the forest that is strangely covered in snow in June and are attacked by wolves, causing them to flee to the Beast's castle. While in the castle, Maurice experiences an eerieness and is startled by voices which seem to have no source. Though he didn't see his host, he saw that the table was served with dinner for one. Just as he is about to have dinner, Chip, the teacup, makes a sudden movement towards him and talks to him which utterly stuns Maurice. He immediately makes for the door and goes straight to Phillippe to escape the strange castle. On reaching near the gates, Maurice notices that the castle gardens have beautiful roses which reminds him of what Belle wished for. However the Beast discovers Maurice plucking a rose from the castle's garden and detains him. Phillippe trots back to the village to find Belle. When Phillippe leads Belle to the castle, she offers to take her father's place in spite of her father's protests.

 The Beast accepts and sets her father free. Belle is released by the castle's maître'd, Lumière, who was turned into a candelabra as a result of the Enchantress's curse. Belle also meets the other castle residents that were transformed by the curse: the castle's majordomo, Cogsworth, a clock; Mrs. Potts, a teapot; her son Chip, a teacup; court composer, Maestro Cadenza, a harpsichord; Maestro Cadenza's wife who is an opera singer, Madame de Garderobe is a wardrobe; their dog FrouFrou, a footstool; Chapeau, a coatrack; Cuisinier, who is the castle's chef and a stove; and Plumette, a feather duster who is a maid and Lumière's fiancé.

After the staff offers Belle a meal, she wanders into the forbidden West Wing. The tempremental Beast discovers her and frightens her into fleeing into the woods. where she encounters the wolf pack that chased Maurice earlier. The Beast rescues Belle but he gets injured in the process. He begins to develop feelings for her while she nurses his wounds. The Beast allows Belle access to his library and the two begin to develop feelings for each other. While the Beast has fallen in love with Belle, Belle is uncertain of her feelings due to her imprisonment. While the villagers are fended off by the servants, Gaston fights the Beast. The Beast initially is too depressed to retaliate, but regains his will after seeing Belle return to the castle. He corners Gaston and spares his life before trying to reunite with Belle. Before he can do so, Gaston fatally shoots the Beast twice in the back. Gaston then falls to his death due to the stone bridge that he is standing on crumbling beneath him.

 The Beast dies of Gaston's gunshots as the last petal falls from the rose and the servants become completely inanimate. Belle tearfully professes her love to him and kisses his forehead. While watching the scene, Agathe reveals herself as the Enchantress and undoes the curse, returning the Prince and his servants to their true forms and restoring the castle to its former glory. The village inhabitants return to the castle with their true memories restored and reunited with their loved ones, and the Prince and Belle are married and host a ball for the kingdom at which they dance to celebrate the couple's wedding.

3. Third Ranking of Romantic Movie is Dilwale

Synopsis :

One day in Goa Veer befriends a passer-by Ishita by helping her injuring his car in the process. For penance, his elder brother Raj makes him fix it during which Veer sleeps and awakes to find that the car’s sound system has been stolen.

The men of a local gang leader, King, try to sell drugs at a crab shack. Veer beats them up after they threaten Ishita. They then come back later to exact revenge on Veer, but Raj breaks up the fight. Raj visits him in hospital and learns King's hideout. He goes there, incapacitates the gang members, and burns their drug stash. Raj tells King’s men his original name, Kaali. King stops by Raj’s shop the next day to present a deal where Raj will fix all of King’s cars in exchange for protection.

The film flashes back to Bulgaria, years ago. Raj accidentally runs over Meena while a car chase. When he gets out to help her, the rival gang catches up with him, and he has to leave. He meets Meera again, who works as a sketch artist. He reveals to her that he is the son of Randhir Bakshi, the leader of his gang. Raj comes to visit young Veer once a month though Raj was adopted. Meera asks Raj to celebrate her birthday with her the next day. He promises to meet her in the evening. The next day, Raj suffers an accident and is confronted by Meera, who actually is the daughter of rival gang’s leader, Malik. She reveals that she betrayed him on her father's advice. She spares his life. Later, Raj saves Meera from dying, promising to kill her if he sees her. She forgives him and declares her love. They make plans to tell their parents about their relationship.

The film flashes back to Goa, where Veer discovers that Siddhu made him sleep through poisoning his coffee to steal the sound system. Veer is upset, but Siddhu explains it is for his girlfriend, Jenny. They agree to help each other secure girlfriends. As a consequence, Veer reveals his feelings to Ishita. Upon finding out about their relationship, Raj wants to meet Ishita’s family. When Raj visits Ishita’s house, he discovers that Meera is Ishita’s older sister.

The film flashes back to 25 years, where Malik agrees to meet Randhir, but, secretly, he plans to kill him. The meeting breaks into a shootout, during which Malik and Randhir shoot each other. Meera finds Raj with the gun, for which she shoots him; however, he survives the gunshot. Both Meera and Raj decide to move far away from Bulgaria and start a new life.

Now in Goa, Veer and Ishita come up with several plots to bring Meera and Raj together. Mani steals King’s car and brings it to the shop, where Veer discovers drugs in the trunk and burns them. Ishita tells Raj that Meera has not forgotten her first love. King comes to Meera’s house one night, but Raj, as Kaali, shows up and stops them from causing her any harm. King asks Meera later if she knows Kaali, but she refuses to acknowledge their relationship.

Meera issues an ultimatum that in order to marry Ishita, Veer must move in with Meera. Meera also tells him that Raj is adopted and not his blood brother. Veer leaves Ishita. Raghav tells Meera that Raj did not kill Malik, but that Randhir had shot Malik in return to his. Upon learning this, Meera tells Veer that he can marry Ishita and stay with Raj. At this process Raj and Meera get reconciled.

Siddhu and Jenny get married. King shows up at the wedding, having tracked down his stolen car. King starts to cause a disturbance, but Raj beats him up. King then tries to shoot Raj, but accidentally shoots Meera who tries to save Raj, however Meera survives and King gets beaten to death. Raj and Meera reunite in hospital.

4. Fourth Ranking of Romantic Movie is I fine .. Thank You .. Love You

Synopsis :

This film focuses on a charming and beautiful English tutor named Pleng. Her ordinary life takes an unexpected turn when she is asked unusual favor by one of her students  Kaya, to help dump her Thai boyfriend named Gym. Unfortunately, Gym doesn’t understand English so Pleng student records her voice message and asks Pleng to translate her message to him. When Gym realizes that he is being dumped, he pins blame on Pleng for his girlfriend leaving him, being that Pleng taught his girlfriend the English to pass her US job interview. It is at that moment Gym persuades Pleng to teach him English too, hoping to go to the US to reconcile with his girlfriend. Pleng has reservations but agrees.

Gym works as a maintenance engineer in a factory, therefore his English is super-duper basic and a super slow-learner too. Therefore, Pleng does her best to teach him at Coffee Beans café during night time. During his learning process, there are many laugh-out-loud moments involving English pronunciation, grammars and reading. And the funniest part is that she even lets Gym read children books “Cinderella” to get started. Gym tries very hard and Pleng sees his effort and begin to sympathize with him. At the same time, Pleng has fallen in love with another one of her students Phruek. Phruek is a handsome rich guy from a super good and rich family. When he invite Pleng to attend a family prom dinner and the whole scene is well-described in a funny, crazy and creative way, which similar to “Cinderella” story that Gym read through it in his Thai-English accent all along the way, Phruek is a super romantic guy who always think and do a lot of romantic ways to surprise Pleng and eventually they become a couple.

However, as the tutoring sessions progress going on, Pleng and Gym start to have feeling and falls in love to each other and in the end Pleng break up with Phruek, as she realise that she already falls in love to Gym. The US job interview day is coming soon and Pleng busy help Gym to train his English speaking skill by preparing some pre Q & A English session together with him. At the day before the interview, Gym found out that Pleng falls in love to him and he feels the same too. However he still insist to attend the interview too, to reunite back with his ex-girlfriend.

Busker's film Syed Khairul Fariz's film opens a local film curtain in 2018 with a work that lifts the busker musicians as a major display. The film is produced by young actors such as Hafeez Mikail, Daiyan Trisha, Anas Ridzuan, Moon, Lia Natalia and Mas Khan. Also featured are MonoloQue, Man Bai, Luqman Hafidz, Elizabeth Tan, Aziz M Osman, Jihan Muse, Mark Adam, Zain (Ruffedge) and Altimate. The film will also be decorated with 21 songs comprising new songs as well as special songs for the movie.

Synopsis

The Busker film tells a group of teens who love street music and want to pursue their interests to a higher level. The story was originally about Adil and Vera who often disagreed, until they were forced to work together for academic work in college and began to get closer. Apparently Adil tried to get up after leaving Mel's girlfriend. Vera suggests to Adil join the Busker contest in order to win the heart of the original Mail. But as they spend time together, Vera begins to feel the feeling of Adil. Adil dealing with the conflict of friendships love and dreams themselves.

Conclusion : 

Romantic films serve as great escapes and fantasies for viewers, especially if the two people finally overcome their difficulties, declare their love, and experience life "happily ever after", implied by a reunion.
